Safety was developed over the course of a year with extensive input from civilian community members as well as police officers.

Members of the Ithaca community made up the cast:

The cast worked together for many months to create this piece. It was comprised of stories told by community members and interviews with law enforcement officers conducted between September 2013 and August 2014. Several Ithaca Police Department officers visited the cast throughout the process to discuss police viewpoints on community and law enforcement.
