Performed throughout 2013 in The Sciencenter‘s theatre space!
Ithaca’s famous Sciencenter created an exhibit about Hydrofracking called “Tapping The Marcellus.” Along with the exhibit, they commissioned Civic Ensemble to create and perform an interactive educational theatre workshop aimed to teach children (age 6-12) to ask questions and think critically about the controversial topic that is Hydrofracking. Civic Ensemble artists then created the interactive kids play: “To Frack Or Not To Frack”
So what is fracking anyway? Join Civic Ensemble to learn about gas drilling and participate in a fun, interactive, and family-friendly theater program designed to create conversation around a controversial issue. This program is part of a series made possible by a grant from the Tompkins County Tourism Program.
We also toured the show to GIAC (Greater Ithaca Activities Center).
