Erica Steinhagen is a theater actor and voice teacher based in Ithaca, NY. Erica’s recent performing credits include The Best of Kathy and Mo with the Civic Ensemble and Quartmermaine’s Terms with the Homecoming Players. Upcoming, Stage Kiss (SHE) at the Cider Mill Playhouse. She premiered her one-woman cabaret Imagine My Surprise at the Hangar Theatre in 2012. Recently seen in NYC in the Metropolis Opera Company’s world premiere electronica opera One Hot Kitchen. Favorite theatre credits include Dana in the world premiere of Ever So Humble by Tim Pinckney at the Hangar Theatre Company; Melissa in the world premiere of The Drunken City by Adam Bock at the Kitchen Theatre Company; The Unfortunates, a one-woman play featuring Erica portraying 18 characters; Precious Nonsense (Josephine); Bed No Breakfast (Chance); Tony and the Soprano (Frances); Dario Fo’s We Won’t Pay! We Won’t Pay! (Margherita); Nora (Christine Linde); The Sound of Music (Sister Margaretta); Cats (Jellylorum); Beauty and the Beast (Mrs. Potts); The Drowsy Chaperone (Saucy Maid, Lady reporter, etc.); and several Gilbert and Sullivan and operatic ingenues. She can be seen in the web series Chanticleer and the short film Poker Face by award-winning filmmaker Becky Lane. Erica has been teaching private voice lessons for the past 14 years, and runs the Erica Steinhagen Voice Studio in Ithaca, NY. She is a graduate of the Ithaca College School of Music. She has offered audition and performance workshops privately, at Ithaca College, and in NYC. Proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.
